As with standard glass, the primary ingredient used to create nano glass worktops is silica. While glass is aesthetically pleasing, it’s not something that you want to be used in the composition of a surface that receives heavy wear and tear. For this reason, nano glass undergoes a slightly different manufacturing process that results in closely packed molecules. You end up with a worktop that’s extremely durable, but also non-porous.

The tiles or slabs are then heated to an extremely high temperature and remain in the oven for about a day. Typically, nano glass countertops are polished for a sleek, glossy appearance, but they can also be ordered with a satin finish for a more matte look.
